Met the diving women (haenyeo) of Jeju! 😍 So incredibly exciting to watch them preparing for their dive into the sea to fish with their weeding hoe and baskets.
A number of them are way over 65 and look at how fit they are!

The ratio of women vs. men is higher in Jeju and as sea diving became more of a female dominated industry in the later years, that means most of the women here are the breadwinners of family while men take on more domestic chores. 👏🏻
